KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 (Bernama) -- Saturna Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of United States (US)-based Saturna Capital Corporation has appointed Shahariah Shaharudin as the new president, replacing Monem Salam who has returned to Saturna’s US office.
“We are excited that Shaha (Shahariah) will lead our organisation in Malaysia,” said Saturna Capital executive vice-president and fund manager, Monem Salam.
“Her deep experience in this market will ensure that Saturna continues to innovate and remain on the cutting edge of both Islamic and sustainable investing, proving, over the long run, that the combination of these two styles is a win-win for investors.

She has over 30 years of experience in commercial banking, fund management and stockbroking, having previously served as chief executive officer/executive director at Kenanga Islamic Investors Berhad.
Under her stewardship, Kenanga Group won the Best Equity – Malaysia Islamic Fund award for The Edge/Thompson Reuters Lipper Malaysia 2017 and 2018.
