BearingPoint hits bulls eye with highest revenue ever

KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 (Bernama) -- Management and technology consultancy, BearingPoint has recorded €739 million revenue in 2018, with the core consulting business growing by six per cent as compared to 2017. (€1 = RM4.60)

Longstanding executive, Kiumars Hamidian took over as the new managing partner in September and updated strategy to navigate the firm through 2025.

He was proud to report that the company was able to continue the path of sustainable and profitable growth in 2018 and reached the highest revenue ever.

“2018 was a year of transition, not only because we had a well-prepared change in leadership, but also because we started to make adjustments to our long-term strategy.”

Hamidian has put three areas into focus, comprising markets, portfolio and people.

For markets, BearingPoint has further expanded in its European core territory. The regions (France, Benelux, Africa) and (United Kingdom, Ireland) stood out with strong growth far above the market average.

The company also made a strategic move in the Belgian consulting market by acquiring a leading data specialist, Inpuls, thereby doubling its size in Belgium.

As part of its portfolio focus, the company marked its first investment in an Asian start-up, via a strategic investment in Insignary, a global leader in binary-level open source software security and compliance.

Moreover, BearingPoint added 10 new Accelerators, the firm’s proven technology packages with rapid market impact. Bookings through all its Accelerators amounted to €167 million.

For people, BearingPoint made over 1,100 new hires in 2018, demonstrating its attractiveness as employer of choice for top talent.

To further ensure its attractiveness, the firm developed a new people strategy focusing on employee experience, including company culture, interaction with leadership, quality of the projects people work on, and the environment they work in.
