SHAH ALAM, April 23 (Bernama) -- Invest Selangor Berhad will be holding the ‘Selangor Corporate Colour Run 2019’ which be flagged off from the Shah Alam Stadium on Aug 17.
Its Corporate Services Department director, Mohd Azuan Khairoji said the event was aimed at promoting health awareness among the public including the industry community in Selangor.
“The run is organised also to foster closer ties between the state government and industry community, besides introducing Invest Selangor to the public,” he said at a news conference, here, today.
Mohd Azuan said through this run, the company would also be carrying out a corporate social responsibility (CSR) effort, whereby part of the funds collected would go to the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation (KDSF) through a special category, the Corporate Charity Run.
“The Corporate Charity Run involves sponsorship that is open to all companies that are interested to participate in this category.
“The sponsorship comes under four categories, namely Platinum (RM30,000), Gold (RM20,000) Silver (RM10,000) and Bronze (RM5,000),” he said.
According to him, the run for distances of three kilometres and five kilometres targeted 3,000 participants and would be officiated by Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari.
The 3km run will be participated by company management and sponsors, while the 5km run is open to men and women.
The participation fee for the public is RM65 and each participant will receive a T-shirt, certificate, medal and a sling bag.
Registration for the public is already open and those who register early, before this May 20, have the chance of getting the ‘early bird’ price of RM55 per person.
Cash prices will be offered to the first until 25th placed winner and there will also be lucky draw prizes including a motorcycle to be won.
