C-Suite execs value agility in the organisation

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 (Bernama) -- Of the 1,000 C-Suite executives surveyed worldwide for “The Elusive Agile Enterprise” report by Forbes Insights, 81 per cent agreed on the critical importance of agility when it comes to leading a successful organisation.

Sponsored by Scrum Alliance, the report offers a data-informed, three-step approach for executive leaders to increase their organisational agility like creating a C-Suite with an Agile mindset, hiring and developing the right mix of talent, and fostering an Agile-friendly culture and organisational structure.

“The data is conclusive evidence of an idea the Scrum world has long understood: the future is Agile,” said Renata Lerch, Scrum Alliance global marketing and communications vice president.

“In a fast-paced, ever-changing landscape of consumer demand and technological development, it’s logical that organisations themselves must be quick to execute and, more importantly, adapt to remain competitive,” she added in a statement.

Outlined in the report, as well, were the five key benefits of successfully Agile executives and their respective organisations which are faster time to market, faster innovation, improved non-financial results such as customer experience and product quality, improved employee morale and revenue growth which is more than 10 per cent greater than that of non-Agile organisations.

According to the report, 87 per cent of chief executive officers (CEO) agree that they are the number one champion of an organisation.

“This report should be encouraging to any CEO who has been less than satisfied with the results of their Agile transformation,” said Lerch.

“Few resources exist explaining to CEOs the quantitatively successful approaches to achieving agility. We sponsored this research with that in mind. It’s our goal to support CEOs and to bridge a gap for executives on an Agile journey.”
