SUBANG JAYA, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- Power brand Mentos continues to “stay fresh” with their collaboration with Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel, taking up limited rights to run a contest with X-Men: Apocalypse, the ninth instalment in the X-Men film series. X-Men: Apocalypse is a 2016 American superhero film based on the fictional X-Men characters in Marvel Comics. The X-Men film series shares Mentos’ long-standing popularity and appeal with youths. This marketing initiative aims to keep the brand fresh in consumers’ minds.
The collaboration, which culminated in the Mentos Unlocks the X-Power in You Contest, offered exclusive X-Men prizes and cash worth more than RM50,000. The successful campaign drew over 3500 entries, and was celebrated with a prize presentation ceremony for the contest winners. Grand prize winner Encik Mohd Nizan walked away with an exclusive X-Men Apocalypse Keyboard Laser, a trolley bag, T-shirt, RM5,000 in cash and one year’s supply of Mentos.
