KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- Eighty-five percent or 9,879 of 11,622 graduates of the Skills and Career Training Programme (PLKK) implemented by Felcra Training and Consultancy (FTC) have managed to get jobs and become entrepreneurs. Felcra's chief executive officer, Zulkarnain Md Eusope said the programme implemented since the last 10 years has managed to place PLKK graduates in the automotive industry, tailoring, gas and oil industry with lucrative incomes. "Although their qualifications (graduates) are only at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level and not a degree but there are some who are earning a monthly income of almost RM8,000," he told reporters at the 2016 PLKK FTC graduation ceremony today. A total of 248 graduates received their certificates at the ceremony. Zulkarnain said PLKK is implemented within six months, that is three-months classes and three-months industrial training at private companies that have been identified. He said, this year the government allocated RM9.4 million to FTC to finance the PLKK programme. -- BERNAMA
