Dalian, China, Sept. 21, 2016 /Xinhua-AsiaNet/--
Nuclein, now known as nucleic acid, was first found in cell nucleus by the Swiss biologist Friedrich Miescher in 1868. Later, in 1953, British biophysicist Francis Crick and American biochemist James Watson discovered the double helix model of DNA structure and pushed the nuclide research to a new stage, which ushered a new era of life science.
It was ZHEN-AO that first introduced nucleic acid to civilian use in China. ZHEN-AO, established in 1996 and based in ZHEN-AO Bio Valley, is located in Dalian Advanced Equipment Manufacturing Zone with an area of 38,000 square meters and a total investment over 2.2 billion yuan.
