UNHAPPY EMPLOYEES OUTNUMBER HAPPY ONES

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- Is the Malaysian workforce plagued with chronically low levels of contentment? A new JobStreet.com survey that drew the participation of over 5,200 respondents, suggests that there are twice as many unhappy employees as there are happy employees who love their jobs.

The survey found that more than half of them, at 52% are unhappy and feel disengaged within their roles, some even to an extreme degree of discontentment as they rated their job happiness a 1 on a scale of 1-11, where 11 represents extreme satisfaction. Twenty-three percent feel neutral, while only 25% are happy and have a sense of appreciation for their jobs.
