- 3 Patients with PD-1 Refractory Cutaneous Melanoma are Responders Including One Complete Response (CR) –
- Driven by Increased Prioritization of IMO-2125 Clinical Development, Company Suspends Development of IMO-8400 for B-Cell Lymphomas –

CAMBRIDGE, Mass & EXTON, Pa, Sept 27 (Bernama-GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --Idera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDRA), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing Toll-like receptor and RNA therapeutics for patients with cancer and rare diseases, is reporting initial clinical data from its ongoing Phase 1/2 clinical trial of intra-tumoral IMO-2125, a Toll-like receptor (TLR) 9 agonist.  In this arm of the Phase 1 portion of the trial, IMO-2125 is being evaluated in combination with ipilimumab for treatment of patients with metastatic melanoma who have failed prior PD-1 therapy.  These early results indicate that IMO-2125 is demonstrating promising clinical activity and is being well tolerated in a patient population with minimal options and low expectation of clinical response with ipilimumab treatment alone.  Further clinical information from the ongoing dose escalation portion of the trial, as well as detailed information on the translational results, will be presented during an oral session at the 2016 Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer Annual Meeting beginning November 9th in Maryland.

“We have completed extensive pre-clinical work in a broad scope of tumor types to test the hypothesis of intra-tumoral administration of IMO-2125 inducing a meaningful effect on the tumor microenvironment and potentiating local and systemic tumor regression in patients.  This work gave us confidence to test the ability of IMO-2125, beginning with this current study in PD-1 refractory metastatic melanoma patients,” stated Vincent Milano, Idera’s Chief Executive Officer.

MoneyLion App Now Available In Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 (Bernama) -- MoneyLion, the mobile personal finance platform that helps consumers improve their financial health, today announced its launch in Malaysia.

The free mobile app will help Malaysian consumers gain a 360-degree view of their finances through a suite of analytic tools that track spending and saving activity across multiple bank accounts, said New-York based MoneyLion in a statement Thursday.

Currently operating in the United States, MoneyLion's expansion into the Malaysian market was a first step in its international growth strategy.

MoneyLion Founder and Chief Executive Officer Diwakar Choubey said MoneyLion was one of the platforms that allowed consumers to connect multiple bank accounts to a single app and take advantage of personalised analytics around their entire financial lives.

He said the company decided to base its technology hub in Kuala Lumpur as the nation's capital was experiencing increasing financial technology (fintech) activity.

MoneyLion Chief Technology Officer Cheemun Foong said while Malaysia was seen as a financial hub in the region, financial literacy was still a challenge among consumers who lacked access to next-generation personal finance tools.

"The rise of fintech in Kuala Lumpur is helping to change that environment and there is ripe opportunity for businesses like MoneyLion to introduce products and services that deliver personalised financial advice," said Foong, who oversees 30 data scientists and software engineers in Kuala Lumpur.

Ministry staff get cosy corner to brainstorm in

KUALA LUMPUR: As all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, staff at the Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry’s Kuala Lumpur office will have a space at their workplace to unleash their creativity.
Called the “Ideation Corner”, the space is a cosy, informal area where they can gather to brainstorm ideas.
It was launched by its deputy minister Datuk Henry Sum Agong yesterday.
He said the office setting “is very formal”, more so when the staff have to work during weekends.
“So instead of sitting at their desks, they can sit here,” he said, adding that the corner’s casual ambience would “encourage thinking out of the box”.
The Ideation Corner was also in line with the National Blue Ocean Strategy, he added.
Later, Henry presented an undisclosed financial contribution to two charities, RC Deaf Missions and Sunteck Handicapped Welfare Home.
The funds were collected by the ministry’s Welfare and Sports Club in the Kuala Lumpur office.

RC Deaf Missions co-founder and director Mario Richard Peter thanked the contributors, saying that the money would be used for awareness programmes.
