Allpoint Network, Visa provide convenient cash access to US-bound Southeast Asian travellers

KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 (Bernama) -- Visa and Allpoint Network have partnered to ease travellers visiting the United States (US) from Southeast Asia to access their money without paying automated teller machine (ATM) fees.
Under the terms of agreement, enrolled cardholders with Visa travel prepaid and debit cards from selected financial institutions will enjoy surcharge-free transactions at over 40,000 Allpoint ATMs throughout the US.

Prior to travelling to the US, cardholders should check with their card issuer to make sure they have access to Allpoint Network. In the US, they can find Allpoint ATM locations by downloading the Allpoint mobile app or go online to the Allpoint locator.
These Visa travel cards issued by 76 financial institutions in India, Bangladesh and Singapore are included in the agreement.
For many travellers, securing local currency is best done at their destination, and Allpoint, the world’s largest surcharge-free ATM network, provides a wide range of cash access points in premium retail locations.
“This new agreement between Allpoint and participating banks in Southeast Asia gives cardholders more choice for using their Visa prepaid or debit cards when they travel,” said Visa (Asia Pacific), Consumer Products and Digital Solutions head, Rob Walls.
For travellers, being able to access their cash without surcharges makes it more convenient and cost-effective to visit an ATM multiple times during their trip, instead of carrying large amounts of cash.
