KUALA LUMPUR, July 4 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) will hold a financial literacy programme, aimed at youths, in Kuantan on July 7.
The event is part of its nationwide plan to help propagate the importance of managing one's finances.
Members of the public can register for the session, free of charge, at https://mfpc.org.my/events/money-bengkel-pengurusan-kewangan/.
MFPC's President, Michael Kok Fook On said the council held financial literacy sessions at government agencies and the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) settlements, and had started organising similar sessions in major cities this year.
"We are very keen to educate Malaysians, especially youths, on the importance of financial planning.
"If one has sufficient knowledge about making financial planning an integral part of their life and continuously seek for upward economic mobility, one would have a fulfilling life and be well planned for life events," said Kok in a statement.
Following a national study on Financial Capability and Utilisation of Financial Advisory Services in Malaysia, MFPC said young Malaysians are in dire need of guidance where money is concerned.
