KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 (Bernama) – London-based privacy engineering firm, Privitar has stamped its global footprint in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region with the opening of its Singapore office.
The newly-launched hub will allow the company to support the thriving demand for data privacy technology across the region.
According to APAC region executive director, Tho Yeong Chien, Asian organisations are waking up to the importance of data privacy. International regulation and a growing mistrust of those who handle information, are shaping data use, share and handle.
“This is a really good time for us to focus and educate the market on the importance of data privacy,” he said, expressing enthusiasm in leading the Privitar business in Singapore.
Privitar chief executive officer, Jason du Preez said responding to the increased demands of global markets for privacy software solutions, it was paramount to be in strategic regions to serve customers effectively. “Our new office will help us achieve this goal.”
Over the last year, the company has rapidly expanded in response to the growing demand for software products employing leading privacy enhancing techniques. Its software helps eliminate the threat of advanced privacy attacks and protects data using the latest privacy techniques.
Established in 2014 with offices in New York and Paris, Privitar provides data-privacy software to companies and public sector organisations globally. More details at www.privitar.com
