KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 -- A total of 11 university undergraduate and graduate students in Singapore will visit Japan as part of Japan’s Friendship Ties Programs, JENESYS 2019.
The programme is promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the visit is scheduled to start on Dec 2 until Dec 10.
Themed ‘Culture and Art Exchange’, they will visit Tokyo, Kyoto and Nara to experience international programmes.
In Tokyo, they will visit Tokyo National Museum and Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum to have a better understanding of Japanese culture and learn how to protect its cultural properties.
In Kyoto, participants will experience school exchange programme at Kyoto Institute of Technology, and visit Kinkaku-ji, Kiyomizu-dera which is a world heritage.
Meanwhile in Nara, they will experience a homestay programme and visit traditional craft workers, Todaiji-temple and the Kasuga grand shrine to observe traditional crafts and arts which have been inherited for many years.
